Let's get to work.
Our vibrant economy is rooted in the diverse businesses that make up the fabric of our community. Norfolk is continually growing and we are partnering with our businesses to ensure they have qualified talent that can take them to the next level in our global economy.
We have engaged with the Norfolk Area Visitors Bureau and the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce to build an interactive website at www.NorfolkNow.org and dedicated funds to a full time position that works to create and execute an extensive social media marketing strategy in order to promote all that is unique to the Norfolk area. We also work alongside our partners to publish a bi-annual magazine which features engaging stories centered around our Live, Work, Play, and Grow theme.
Our business tour videos give viewers an insiders perspective to the businesses that call Madison County home. A career portal, currently in development, will provide career awareness for opportunities in the Norfolk area. Additionally, we are working to identify ways to strengthen internship programs for our business community.
We are working alongside Wayne State College and Northeast Community College through the Northeast Nebraska Growing Together initiative to increase the number of Norfolk area four-year college graduates in specific career programs and to provide various types of opportunities for workforce training.
To reduce out migration and promote community integration we are working hard to create opportunities for people to make strong connections through our CONNECT YP group and through the Northeast Nebraska Growing Together initiative.
