In Nebraska, we work hard to provide a positive environment for families. In fact, according to a recent study done by WalletHub, Nebraska ranks in the top 10 in the Nation for best places to raise a family. The report looked at eight metrics: median salary, affordable housing, childcare costs, numbers of families with young children, infant mortality rates, violent crime rates, percentage of families in poverty and the divorce rate. Those metrics were used to generate five rankings: family fun, health and safety, education and childcare, affordability, and socioeconomics.
