The mission: Northeast Community College is dedicated to the success of students and the region it serves.  Northeast is recognized as a premier educational leader and partner, with student completion and success being our highest priority. We broaden our students’ cultural awareness and global competitiveness, while providing academic programs that help our students meet the needs of our region’s workforce. Northeast offers over 130 programs and concentrations with six locations to serve a 20-county region.

University of Nebraska
Medical Center (UNMC)

Nestled in the heart of Northeast Nebraska, Norfolk offers everything you would expect: first class recreation, community festivals, award-winning attractions, unique shopping, progressive community life, and, of course, UNMC College of Nursing’s Northern Division.

 

The Northern Division is located in a beautiful state-of-the-art facility which is situated on the campus of Northeast Community College. UNMC students and faculty share space with Northeast Community College faculty and students. This rich learning environment provides opportunities for joint learning experiences between students including inter-professional education and extracurricular activities.

Wayne State College

Wayne State College is a leading comprehensive college in Northeast Nebraska distinguished by providing educational excellence in a small, personalized setting. It’s located on a 128-acre campus and boasts a 19:1 student-to-faculty ratio. It’s best known for its friendly atmosphere, exceptional academic reputation, success of its graduates and its affordability.

Students are provided with valuable opportunities for hands-on teaching experience. Graduate programs at WSC include business administration, organizational management and two education programs.

Norfolk Career Academies

Norfolk Career Academies provide our students with the opportunity to learn in a positive environment where they can explore career education in areas they have interest and passion. 

Imperative to the success of Norfolk Career Academies is the collaboration with area business and higher education partners.

 

Our team includes teachers, parents, administrators and community partners working together to ensure our students will possess special knowledge, job specific skills and industry certifications needed to be successful in the careers they pursue or colleges they attend. 

Joseph's College of Beauty

Joseph's is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) and the Nebraska Department of Health-Cosmetology Division.

A state exam follows for licensure as a Cosmetologist within the State of Nebraska. Licensure as a Cosmetologist, will allow students to practice the skills commonly referred to as hair designer, hairdresser, hair stylist, etc. for compensation.

 

This license will also allow one to become a salon owner, manager or trainer for a cosmetic company, and many other areas of our industry.

Norfolk Senior High School

Norfolk Senior High is one of the largest high schools in Northeast Nebraska, meeting the educational and extracurricular needs of approximately 1,300 students grades 9-12.

 

We are a 1:1 Google Apps for Education school, providing our students Chromebooks for their education.

 

The mission of Norfolk Senior High School is to prepare all students to pursue their goals for the future.  We provide our students a large variety of course offerings to prepare them for their post high school career.  These courses range from career academies, with NPS and industry certifications for immediate employment, to rigorous AP and dual credit courses to provide students college experience for a post high school education. 

Lutheran High Northeast

Lutheran High Northeast (LHNE), founded in August, 1997, is owned and operated by the Lutheran High School Association of Northeast Nebraska (LHSANN)--18 Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregations in Northeast Nebraska.

• LHNE is a senior high school with grades 9-12, fully accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education.
• Our academic requirements exceed those set by the state and are a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
• We are a member of the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and offer a large variety of co-curricular sports, clubs and groups.
• We welcome students of all faiths and religious beliefs. (You don't have to be Lutheran to attend LHNE!) 

Norfolk Catholic High School

Norfolk Catholic School is a PK-12 School System located all on one campus at 2300 Madison Avenue in Norfolk, NE.

 

We empower everyone – Students, Parents, Administration, Teachers and Support Team – to use the gifts that God has provided to each of us to the best of our ability.  

 

We acknowledge that parents are the first and best educators of their children in faith and morals.   Our school works in partnership with Sacred Heart Parish, school administration, teachers and the greater community.  Together we provide accessible and affordable educational opportunities to produce well-rounded students and prepare them for success in their chosen vocation.
