Bradford Business Park
The Bradford Business Park in southwest Norfolk includes 140-acres of light industrial and heavy commercial space for business expansion and development opportunities. The development was completed in 2021 and is already home to three companies.
King Steel
King Steel recently completed an 80,000 SF expansion in order to add a second heat treat line. The $8 million project created 12 jobs.
Faith Regional Health Services
Faith Regional Health Services is a regional hospital with multiple locations in Northeast Nebraska. The new medical office building is a four story, 109,000 SF building with a skywalk connection to the main building
Calmwater Financail
Calmwater Financial recently partnered with Brogan Gray law firm to construct a new facility in northwest Norfolk. The 14,000 SF building officially opened for business in October 2019 and accommodates approximately 30 employees.
Fountain Point Medical
The Fountain Point Medical development includes a 70,000 SF medical office complex and an 87-bed senior living community facility which was developed through a partnership with heritage communities of Omaha. Future plans include a 110 multi-family housing unit south of the medical complex.
Northeast College - Path Hall
Path Hall is a new 63,000 SF residence hall on the Northeast Community College campus. The property accommodates 192 students and also includes a 30,000 SF dining facility that is able to serve up to 450 people at once. The facility also includes a convenience store for students and faculty.
Norfolk Library
In May 2018, the City of Norfolk celebrated the completion of a 16,000 SF addition and renovation of the existing library. The project was funded with a 1/2 cent sales tax increase approved by voters in 2014.
Embrace Park
Norfolk's first all-inclusive park opened in September 2017. This wheelchair accessible park was thoughtfully designed to provide a safe place where individuals of all ages and abilities can play together. Embrace Park also includes a splash pad for hot summer days.
River Point Square
River Point Square is a community gathering place strategized through recent downtown revitalization planning efforts. The space includes extensive landscaping, shade structures, musical play elements, and festoon lighting.
Norfolk Skate Park
In 2018, DED awarded the City of Norfolk CDBG Tourism funds to reconstruct Miracle Skatepark to modernize the park and allow for ADA accessibility. The design stage has been completed, and construction is expected to begin in 2020.
Norfolk Family YMCA
In April 2019, the Norfolk Family YMCA opened their two-level, 106,000 SF expansion to the existing 75,000-square-foot YMCA. The addition includes a field house, gymnasium, expanded cardio area, new children's area, indoor playground, and expanded free-weight lifting area.
Nucor $58 Million Expansion
This Expansion will serve the automotive market and continue to allow Nucor to meet customer needs. The modernization project will include a new reheat furnace, new intermediate mill and coil inspection and trimming station. The project is expected to be completed and operational in the fourth quarter of 2022.
